Our ministry here at Faith Academy is to missionaries’ children. We support missionaries by providing a good education to their children. This frees them to focus on their ministry, knowing their children’s educational needs are being met. We want to do more than provide them with an education academically. We want to see them grow spiritually and to be global Christians as well. The concert choir is going to Korea again this year in October to minister in schools, churches and other public settings. A Korean pastor is setting up their itinerary. We have a lot of Korean students in the choir who will be able to share their testimony in their native language. They had such positive feedback from their ministry trip last year. Abby will get to go again and is looking forward to this trip. Tonight they have a fund-raising concert that will be live-streamed, but hopefully available at your convenience as well. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0wLMqdDc7E
If you wish to donate to the choir, there is a link you can go to for that as well.

The donations will go to the choir to help offset their expenses during the tour. If you wish to give directly to us for Abby’s expenses (the plane ticket), you can give to us through our NTM account. You can let us know if your gift is for Abby’s trip by emailing us.
Abby enjoys playing on the varsity volleyball team this year. She is playing libero this year. Besides playing local teams, they are also a part of a league with Christian international schools in Asia. She will be traveling (again to Korea) to play in the tournament in the middle of October. This is a highlight for their season. Pray for a good time for them, safety and the finances for the trip (plane tickets, housing, and food as well as tournament fees).
As we look to opportunities for the students, please pray for the staffing, especially in the middle school. We are still short some teachers. Our Bible 6 teacher and PE teacher for middle school are still raising their support. We are thankful that we have someone to train as an ELL (English Language Learner) teacher, but Walter may have to cancel some computer classes if we do not find a computer teacher by second semester. Please pray for Walter as he juggles the classes and gets substitute teachers to fill in while we wait.
Thank you for praying for us and for our ministry to missionaries’ children,
Cheryl for all the Spicers
