We are thankful for our short home assignment. Walter’s cataract surgery went well and he will be getting his new glasses soon. In April, we traveled to Florida and had a great time visiting friends and family. We made it back in time to attend Abby’s graduation on May 1. We still cannot believe that our baby just graduated from Calvary University and in two months she will be getting married. We are thankful for the ministry that God has called us to in the Philippines, but it comes at a cost. We were not able to attend any of our other children’s college graduation services. COVID has drastically changed many things and caused many hardships, but we are thankful it changed our schedule so we could attend this one.
This week, we fly to the Seattle area to visit more friends and family. In June, we will travel to Texas, and in July to Abby’s wedding in Michigan.
Please pray for the Philippines as COVID numbers are still high and the government lockdown orders are very restrictive. People under 18 and over 65 are required to stay at home.
Please continue to pray for the staff and students at FA to finish the year strong as they only have a few weeks left. Pray for safe travels as many families are returning home for the summer, so pray that we all can return to the Philippines at the start of the school year.
Pray also for our graduating seniors as they return to their home country and begin their next chapter in their life, following God’s purpose and plan for their life.
Although we live in uncertain times, we have assurance that our loving Father is sovereign and has promised to guide us and provide for all our needs. Psalm 46:1-2, “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.”
Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support.
Secure In Christ,
Walter & Cheryl
