Thank you for your prayers for us. Our last few weeks in the USA were busy as planned, but God worked out everything so well. It is never easy to say goodbye, but we are so thankful for our home assignment, seeing many friends and family–such an encouraging time. It was so good to go up to Medina, ND, Walter’s hometown. We were able to see so many of his friends. Over 350 people attended the school reunion where Walter was asked to do the invocation, and over 100 came to the combined church service where Walter joined the alumni choir, plus Walter was the main speaker, able to share the gospel and share about our ministry. They even took an offering for us.
Our flights to the Philippines went well and we are getting over jetlag. It was refreshing to see the Butterfly girls–they screamed and cried when they saw us, and we are back in the swing of doing activities with them. Last Saturday, we brought them to Faith Academy to play on the playground and take them swimming. This weekend is their birthday party for the July celebrants.

Faith Academy is swarming with activities as facilities prepare our campus for the new year. New Staff Orientation starts this week and our All School Retreat is next week.
Please pray for the Philippines as a large typhoon up north is causing damage due to heavy rainfall. The eye is north of the Philippines, but its bands stretch over all of Luzon, including Manila. We are safe in our house from any flooding, but there is a lot of flooding and landslides in various places. The major roads around us are flooded and impassible.
Thank you for praying for Walter’s mother. She was able to have surgery, removing a tumor in her colon, part of the colon, and her ovaries. She is recovering well for a 94-year-old lady.
Thank you for your faithful prayers! We are excited to be home—the place God has called us to serve.
Secure In Christ,
Walter and Cheryl
