Here is an update on Walt’s eye surgery. His surgery was at 6:30 am September 7 and it went well but I didn’t get to talk with the doctor then. We had to go back for a post op check, today, September 8. We saw the doctor who assisted in the surgery. He explained a lot so that was a help. He said the hole was small so that is why it progressed slowly. It sounds like the surgery went well and the retina looks good and eye pressure is good. The gas bubble in the eye is to keep pressure on the lasered spot for healing so keeping his head down keeps the bubble in the right place. It’s especially important the first week. We will know more later how good his vision will be after the gas bubble dissipates. Thank you for all your prayers. We appreciate it. Pray for him as it is hard to find a comfortable position with his head down all the time. He can put it up when he eats and showers though.
Thanks for your prayers,
Cheryl
