- Wayne & Diane Baker
Planting churches in an unreached people group means different things for different groups. For the Loko people this involved 15 years of living among them. During this time we started a medical clinic and community store, learned their unwritten language and culture, developed an alphabet and a literacy program, translated the New Testament and portions of the Old Testament into the Loko language, taught and discipled the believers and provided a vernacular Bible teaching curriculum based on NTM’s Chronological Bible Teaching Program.
In 2001 we moved to the Kaul Tribe (a distinct but related language group) to do the same type of work.
Wayne is also involved with doing translation consultant work and Diane with literacy consultant work for the field of Papua New Guinea.
Presently we are in PNG living in the Kaul Tribe continuing on with our ministry here.
