The Harvest is the Lord’s

November 8, 2015 by Wayne and Patsy Gibson

May the Lord encourage you in all that He is doing among the Piapoco people, as well as some answers .

Ministry to Piapoco Women
Patsy teaching ladies smThe teaching sessions for the ladies continue with good interest. The ladies share that they are learning more because they are being taught in their own language and are understanding the Bible verses. They are quite responsive in the class as well, and share in their homes what they are learning. Pray that these women will have a clear understanding of the gospel of grace and put their faith in Christ.

Translation and Discipleship
Checking verses smWayne and the Piapoco translators, Reynaldo and Walter, have been coming up with better ways to express key terms to communicate some spiritual concepts. Also, each week Wayne teaches believers in the Limonar village where we had taught the gospel years ago. Two Piapoco men are being trained to teach the Bible lessons to others. One of them, Eliezer, is burdened to teach the Bible to a group of interested teenagers and others, so Wayne will be helping him teach the evangelism lessons.

Pray for continued progress on the New Testament revision project, for the affirmation of Piapoco believers, and for the new Bible teachers.

Children’s Ministry
Susana teaches kids smIt is encouraging that the Piapoco kids are now hearing the lessons on the life of Christ. How we thank the Lord for the help of Piapoco teachers like Oscar, Susana, and Nelly. Pray that the children will understand the gospel and place their faith in the Lord Jesus.

Thank you for praying for us and the Piapocos. The Lord has been graciously watching over us and allowing us to be quite involved with the tribal work.
