You Bought a Canoe

August 7, 2017 by Wayne and Patsy Gibson

The Piapocos of the Amazon Rain Forest depend largely on the various rivers for their highways. The Jungle Team have been very motivated to reach other villages with the gospel, so have had to borrow a canoe of sufficient size for travel, sometimes an outboard motor, as well.

Prayer for the Outreach Ministry has been much appreciated, and also gifts toward seeing the Piapoco Christians teach their own people the foundational truths of God’s Word. Thanks to those who have prayed and those who have given toward this ministry. Consider this YOUR canoe, dedicate it to the Lord for safekeeping, and entrust each trip into the Lord’s hands to allow all the Piapoco river people to have access to the Light of the Gospel.

In November the Team will make another trip upriver to train about 7 Christians the Teacher Training Course on teaching the evangelism lessons. They also plan to travel farther upriver to help and encourage leaders in teaching their people. Their sights are also on villages along the Orinoco River where Piapocos await to hear the gospel message taught clearly in their own language.
