Our journey to Papua New Guinea started when a missionary asked me the question, “What’s your role in global missions?” When I was asked this, I didn’t really have a good answer. I didn’t know and I honestly hadn’t thought about it much. I didn’t realize at the time that the Lord had been preparing me for the last 15 years to support the work of Bible teaching and translation with my computer skills.
In Papua New Guinea, we’ll be living and working at the NTM center in the Highlands region. My official role will be a Server & Network Administrator; basically taking care of the servers and other equipment people usually never see but certainly know when it isn’t working properly! There is plenty of other work that the ICT team does that I’ll also be helping with. The Information Technology group is doing its job right when you forget it exists at all!
So, now it’s my turn to pose the question to you. What’s your role in global missions? Will you join us in reaching those who haven’t heard?
