“… I walked here today to tell you all these things the Lord has been showing me these past few days. The Lord has brought you all to Wantakia to do His work, and you must finish it. Even if disaster comes upon you, you must continue to do the Lord’s work.”
My wife and I have been following the Crabtree family since just a little bit before they flew out to Papua New Guinea. Watching the work of these 3 families as they’ve moved to a very foreign country, found the people they are to be reaching, build houses, and move their families into a *very* foreign village. Guess what? That’s only the 1st year. The hardest work for them is yet to come.
Jason’s right, the missionaries are doing His work and must finish the work He sets them to! But what about us? Are we leaving the church planters out there on a mountain by themselves? Certainly not! This comes back to each of us answering the question, “What’s your role in world missions?” For many, it’s praying, consistently raising up foreign workers before the Throne of Grace. For some it’s financially supporting, giving to the Lord’s work that which he’s entrusted to us. For us and others, it’s going to serve; providing the infrastructure and physical support that’s needed to plant churches amongst the world’s most remote peoples.
Will you commit your prayers, your finances and your resources to see the unreached reached with the saving grace of the Gospel of Christ?
