Our applications for entry into PNG were approved, but as you may have heard, we’re still waiting for the official stamps to be entered into our passports. The process is taking longer than expected for several reasons. Someone important in the immigration office of PNG died this week, some offices have been moving, and computers have been down. So, our passports are in the safe keeping of the Papua New Guinea embassy in Washington DC.
In other news, we’re traveling to Wisconsin for this weekend. There’s an open house at Grace Bible Church in Oconomowoc (http://www.gracebibleoconomowoc.org) from 2-4 on Saturday. Catching up with family and also I’m told there’s a ‘special’ speaker* Sunday morning at the church.
We’re still praying for a mid-February departure for Papua New Guinea. Katie has plane tickets picked out for the plane ride, but we aren’t buying tickets until the passports return.
- Continue to pray for a smooth processing of the passports.
- Safe travels this weekend and a good time catching up with friends and family.
- Wisdom with all of the packing, decisions, and last minute details of moving a family overseas.
God Bless you and your family!
*For any who might be worried, yes I know I’m preaching on Sunday. 🙂
