We only have about four weeks left here at the Missionary Training Center and we are trying to make the most of it. We have begun some really amazing friendships with future
co-workers and we are sad to be leaving them so soon. Our class still has another semester here but because we are aviation, we are finishing up our training at the flight center in Arizona. But all that to say in our down time from classes we are trying to spend time as a family with friends. Yesterday we went out on a boat with another family and Beau had a blast watching his dad wake board. Kimi wasn’t terribly happy being strapped tight to her mom but she eventually resigned herself to her situation and fell asleep. All in all it was nice to get out of the house and onto the beautiful Lake of the Ozark water.
PRAYER: As we wrap up our time here, we are praying about an opportunity that I have to come back next January to take the Linguistics course. This is an advanced class, not required for the regular training program, that you have to qualify for. I scored well on the test and I enjoy language analysis, but in order to take the course I would have to come back here by myself with the two kids (Brent will be in Arizona for flight training). We have found out that the PNG field is in need of Linguists and I would love to be able to contribute in this way, however, it’s a tough decision and we still need to work out a few details to make it possible. Would you be in prayer for us about this?
