Brian’s June Recipe

June 1, 2009 by Brian and Bailey Pruett

With the economy suffering, we are all looking at ways to save. When I was in college this was a favorite meal of mine because it met all my important criteria: cheap, filling, and easy to clean up. It cost me around $0.25 per meal. Of course that is, if you don’t count the cost of the Tacos I had to eat to acquire the Del Scorcho hot sauce…or the cost you’ll possibly rack up in the oncology department for eating all that MSG.

Del Scorcho Ramen

Servings: 1

Ingredients:

About 1-2 Cups Water

1 Package Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodles

2 Eggs

1-2 Packs of Del Scorcho Hot Sauce*

In a small sauce pan, bring water to boil. Add crushed noodles and eggs to boiling water and stir until eggs are cooked, and noodles are soft. Remove from heat and stir in seasoning packet. Add hot sauce to taste.

I eat it straight from the pan with the spoon I used to stir it. This leaves me with two dishes to wash after consuming my delicious and filling treat.

*I prefer Del Scorcho Hot Sauce from Del Taco, but any taco sauce will do.
