A lot of people seem to be wondering what our life is all about right now. We are done with training, we don’t have jobs and we are still not on the mission field… so what ARE we doing? Hopefully this blog will answer all your questions and more!
We moved back into the house that our church here in Arlington Heights owns. This house is used primarily for missionaries or people that work/intern at the church. Our goal is to be here until December or January and then it’s off to Colombia for us!
So since we don’t have jobs and aren’t moving for a while, what do we do all day? Our “job” is raising support or funds in order to head to Colombia by the winter time. This involves getting together with people, being as involved in our church as possible, making a lot of phone calls and e-mails and being open to getting together anytime. What we are all about this year is building deeper relationships with our church and the individuals that are partnering with us.
We have a long way to go to get our support (monthly giving income) to be where it needs to be. If you are reading this and have any sort of questions for us or just want to get together, we would love to sit and chat or have a good meal with you! I realize that it’s not everyday that people just pick up and move to the jungle to start a church, so any questions or comments are invited and encouraged!
Ultimately, our passion and heart is in tribal missions and seeing unbelievers come to know Christ. We hope that some of our passion and heart for these people rub off on other people so much that they feel the need to join our team; to partner with us in bringing the Good News to those who need an opportunity to hear it.
Oh, and we are having another baby, so we are also doing that this year. Since we will be moving, family is really important to us this year as well. Eli’s grandparents are demanding more time with him, so I guess we have to hang out with them too ;)

Thanks Mark! This pregnancy is night and day different from the last one! It’s so amazing and we are so grateful for that. So far MPD is going great, but we are still only in month #1, so we’ll see how we feel in about 4 months :)
