The daily Grind

February 4, 2012 by Bryan and Shara Moritz

You might be wondering what is it that I, Shara, do on a daily basis.  Well, here is what it feels like I am doing with the majority of my time!

Lots of Laundry. It's hotter here so you sweat more. It's also rainy season and we have lot's of mud so we all get muddy. Just think about it, 2 boys + a whole bunch of mud = lots of laundry!

For some reason I love hanging Laundry. It's fun being outside. I am always trying to guess if it's going to rain or not. So far I am doing pretty good. Sun dried clothing is not so bad, but I have to admit I miss that dryer at times!

My friend and I joked about how it seems like all we do here is cook and clean, cook and clean. But it's no joke that's the bulk of it. There is no fast food to run to, it's cook or eat lot's of PNG packaged snacks and bananas!

Here is a fun prayer answered. I ask the Lord to help me be ready to cook in another country. If you know me It's not my first love. I think that I am an ok cook, but I would much rather go out to eat. Some of you ladies were praying for me and I have to say it's actually been fun trying to put together meals here. We had friends over and they ended up staying for two meals with not a lot of food in the house. For dinner the wife and I just looked at what I had and put it all together for a tasty meal I am going to serve again. Brown rice, caramelized onions, lettuce, and sweet potato fries. It was sooooo yummy! (Having lived in Bolivia for a while I think really helped as well as living by so many good cooks through the NTM training.) Thanks to all who have helped me learn and are praying for me. God is so good!

There are other things that go on too but just not enough room to write them all.  As new and interesting things come up I will keep you updated.
