Meet two tribal missionary families

February 25, 2012 by Bryan and Shara Moritz

We would like you to meet two families that were classmates of ours in school.  It has been such a blessing to watch the Lord take families that we became friends with in the States and bring them to PNG.  These two families came last year.  Both families will be serving in tribal locations.  One family in the Sipek area, and the other family in either the Highlands or Gulf area.  These two families have either just finished or are finishing the last stages of Pigin language and culture study.  The next step for them will be to begin forming teams to serve together in a tribal location as well as seeking the Lord for which tribal group they will serve in.  This process can take months or years depending on the tribal areas that are opening, new and old, and the amount of family units available to join them.

Why are we introducing them to you?  One of our desires for our ministry here is to join these families through prayer, encouragement, communications, physical needs (like building their home or sending care packages), visits if we are able, and having them into our home when they are here!  This is an opportunity for you to not only be apart of our specific ministry but also get the chance to hear how you are reaching people with the gospel directly through these families.  We may add a couple different tribal teams later, but we will try to focus on these key areas starting out.  We have found there is a large number of missionaries here, Praise the Lord, but very difficult to know everyone.  There will be exciting news from other tribal missionaries that we will inform you about, but for the majority of our time we will try to keep you updated more often on these two teams.  We hope you enjoy hearing about their process and ministry! Let’s  introduce them!

We are sure you would like to know more details about these families, you can look at their own New Tribes Mission web site just like this one you are reading.  Just search for their name in the search NTM blogs box above!  For future we will post small updates about each team.  If there are more good details we will direct you to their web sites for the long version.  We will let you know the best web sites to go to, as these families have more than one.  (Please be patient with us as all this technology is a process to learn.  We will do our best!)   We look forward to supporting the work God is going to do in and through these families!
