What’s been happening

The church is packed out, so Bryan is looking in from the window. Look at that view!

Snake anyone? It will be a meal soon

Bryan getting in some good language time. The two men he is facing work on the center. Bryan is getting to know them better. The other young man is a pastors son of the church we attend.

This is our wonderful wok meri. We work every Wednesday together cleaning house. I love having the help and the chance to practice my language while I build a friendship! She attends the church as well and I can't wait to have good conversations about Jesus with her. I think she will be teaching me a ton!

Keep praying for us as we grow in knowledge of this culture and the language.  It is hard at times because we think very differently, and the boys are trying to understand and work at accepting all this new and different stuff.  We as a family want to embrace things here and not just live here as an white skin!   I, Shara, couldn’t live here without being able to talk about Jesus with our friends (it’s just who we are).  This requires a higher level of language than most people strive for.  It’s just too important.  We might not be going tribal but we live life with people here and the gospel is lived out in our daily walk! Keep lifting the people up here as they are in such need of the simple non-works gospel.  Lift up all the missionaries on this center, that we would be willing to step out of our comfort zone, balance our support job and community involvement, and build eternal relationships!
