Saying goodbye as we set out to travel to Papua New Guinea! Goodbyes are never easy for us and they never will be. We love all of you dearly back in America! Thank you for your prayers in getting us through all the travel details. Here is what it looked like. First we landed in San Fransisco and spent the 4th of July hanging out on Pier 39!
Then we said good bye to more friends and hung out at the airport watching fireworks from the window before we said goodbye to America!
Next we came into New Zealand! We only got to see the sun rise as we shuttled to our next gate then we were on the plane to Australia!
We spent eight wonderful days with our friends seeing Cairns and doing some shopping for supplies! We like Australia! We left Australia only paying a small fee for overweight (PRAISE THE LORD) and finally stepped foot in PNG! When we go to PNG we found that there was many cancellations and lots of people trying to reschedule their flights.
Lets just say we didn’t get on our flight that afternoon either! We stayed the night in our NTM guest house which was actually open and ready! (PRAISE THE LORD AGAIN!)
Finally we made it on a plane to Goroka! We did it PNG style as our plane had two dead bodies that would be transported back to Goroka to the families who will mourn and bury them in their tribe. At the airport the families were covered in mud and wailing on the ground to show their sadness!
We were so excited to be back on the center and back in our house! Corbyn even said as soon as he got into the house, “YES, we are here!”
We can’t thank you enough for all your prayers for our safety and our luggage making it all the way through. Your prayers were answered and our bags all made it. PRAISE THE LORD!
