Thankful Thursday #6

February 7, 2020 by Cameron and Katy Pryor

Helping Dad clean car parts

  • I’m thankful that we finally found out what I had…malaria (which we had tested for first but had gotten a negative). I’m thankful to KNOW and therefore was able to take treatment. I’m thankful we were in the big city with good medical help and the guesthouse with so many conveniences that made it easier for me to take it easy. I’m also thankful for the many medical supplies we brought with us that I’ve been using to help me like ibuprofen, multivitamins, and propel drink packs (Thanks Orchard for stocking us up!).
  • I’m thankful that 1 Thessalonians 5:18 popped up on my phone as the daily verse: “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” I spend a lot of time thinking, “Should I spend my time doing this or that?” It was a good reminder to me of no matter what I’m doing or where I’m at I need to give thanks. In that moment I was just lying in bed, but even lying in bed sick I can choose to obey God’s will for me, which is to give thanks.
  • I’m thankful that we’re about to head out towards home, but with a couple of stops to do some work on the way home. I’m just so grateful to be healthy and have my energy back before starting these travels up!

So thankful you are feeling better. We read up on those teasts after Kirk also had two false readings and then a seizure after his fever reached 104! They are so unreliable. We feel it is better to treat since it is usually a rare occurrence. You still need to take it is and rest! Malaria really takes a toll on your blood and body. May the Lord bless you all with happy times, a safe trip and lots of blessings because of the help you bring.
