What do chest X-rays, HIV tests, police clearance forms, thumb prints, and Australian-sized passport photos have in common? You need them all to get into Papua New Guinea! Our work permit applications are done and in the mail, and we have started on the next round of paperwork – for entry permits (visas). God continues to stir people here in the US to join us in planting a church in PNG, and our excitement continues to build.
Maisie and Cole are recovering from a stomach bug this week, so please pray that none of the rest of us gets sick as we prepare for our big family separation next week. Chris and I leave for Alaska on the 12th. I think it will be hard for me to be apart from the kids for so long, so please pray for me to focus on Christ and not on my worries for them. And your continued prayers for our support level to go up would be great, too!
Micah will get the cast off his arm next week, but thanks to his new bike-riding skills he continues to look like a crash test dummy. Maisie’s potty training has been put on hold due to vomiting and diarrhea, and after two days of quiet and demure behavior she is back to her old demanding self – a sure sign that she’s feeling better. Cole is getting better at reading and his fourth birthday is coming up on the 20th. Bailey continues to be wonderful; she’s been sleeping around 12-13 hours at night recently and she’s starting to laugh a little bit.
Have a happy Wednesday, and tell your mom that you love her this weekend!
