Think about your home; the neighborhood it is in, the gas station or grocery store perhaps nearby. Think about the places you go regularly; church, shopping, work. And now imagine not going more than a mile from your home for 7 straight months. Well, that was the last seven months for our family. As the crow flies, I don’t believe we’ve gone more than a mile from our bush house from last November through the end of May. Our groceries were delivered to us. Church was either in our living room or our neighbors’. Work, well, let’s just say work never took us out of our neighborhood.
So, we are on a much needed break and enjoying every minute of it. Well, not the minute the shrill birds woke us before dawn’s early light, but overall we’re having a good time. We’re chillin’ in the heat on one of New Tribes’ centers on the coast. We’ve been to the beach, swam in pools, had water fights, and enjoyed ice cold sodas. Besides the relaxin’ we’ve been preparing the next newsletter (which will go out shortly) and finalizing a new video which should be up on our youtube channel before the end of the month. Shortly, our first visitors (Maggie’s sister and her husband) will arrive and we’ll get to enjoy some time with them.
And, as soon as I acquire a certain picture, we’ll be making a big announcement. (No, we’re not pregnant.)
