Nothing much exciting happened today so you can just skip reading this one. Normal morning, homemade toast for breakfast, I was in the office working on translation by 7:30am. By mid-morning I had numerous guys in and out my office but I mostly ignored them and trudged forward on my work. (There’s currently not a lot of garden work happening so a lot of the guys have nothing to do and so they come and see what we’re up to, daily.) I broke for lunch with Maggie (Indomi noodles and an orange and two Hershey kiss cookies) and then, after getting the kitchen cleaned up, I set up work at the kitchen table so Maggie could have the office. I worked on my translation project until 4pm and then went outside for a little over an hour. I’m about 65% done with this step of the process. I’m hoping to finish up this part in the next day or two so I can do Comprehension Check 1 with a Pal friend before the end of the week. I’ll do 1 comprehension check, make needed adjustments, and then pass it off to teammates for 2 more comprehension checks. After that someone on the team will do a Back to English (BTE) translation and then I’ll do a content check and send the BTE off to our consultants. That all has to be done by the end of January. Late February is when we have the translation consultants scheduled to come to Pal and do checks of all our work. Anyways, outside, we played some American Eagle and then Kick the Can with all the kids before the rain chased some of us inside. Bailey and I came in and washed up first. Maisie took her shower in the rain, and the boys stayed outside but mostly kept out of the rain. We ate supper and cleaned up and now I’m blogging. The boys’ are listening to Veggie Tales Christmas music and the girls (and mommy) are working on cleaning up their room. It’s only 10 minutes till 7 but I’m going to finish this post up now so I’ll prophesy about the rest of my evening. I’ll finish this and then check emails and then get kids to bed. After that I hope to get a bit more done on my translation project, but I’ll probably call it quits by 8:30. After that it’ll be hanging out/veggin’ with the wife and then sleepy time. Alrighty, check ya later. (Told you nothing exciting happened today, and now you’ve wasted 2 minutes of your day by reading this far.) Happiness and warm fuzzy feelings to all!
