1 Year in Pal

April 23, 2013 by Chris and Maggie Hostetter

It was one year ago that we moved into the Pal tribe. It’s been a whirlwind of a year since then but we’re still breathing and on our feet. In the last year we’ve adjusted to bush living, built our house, lost teammates, met potential new ones, dealt with homesickness, experienced hurricane strength winds and numerous earthquakes, prepared for literacy, and made great strides in language study. Pal is starting to feel like home a bit but we long for the day we have friends here that also have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

This next year we’re looking forward to some family members coming to visit, finishing language study, seeing the first group of Pal people become literate, begin Bible translation, and prepare Bible lessons. Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support.

The pictures were taken at the literacy building work site.
