I have had a busy summer preparing to share with churches & getting ready for Mexico.
I spent two days a week babysitting, and throughout the summer house sat or pet sat at over 13 houses!
I have also been busy with sending out letters to over 100 churches in the Northwest, seeing if they would allow me to come share about what I’ll be doing in Mexico. I have been able to share in three Bible studies and two church about Mexico! It’s been lots of fun to have people excited about how God continues to work in my life! One of the Bible Studies I have been attending since coming home this Spring. It is full of young adults and college students, we come from four different churches, and two different towns. I had so much fun sharing with them about tribal missions and ways that they can be involved. I have one church scheduled for September and two churches October! Along with flying out to Florida to visit Amy, my co-worker heading with me to Mexico. I’ll be able to spend about three weeks with her, and then I’m heading to Missouri to visit friends before they all leave the Training Center.
I was also busy this summer with Vacation Bible School. We used that program that Awana has that uses Soccer to reach the kids with the gospel. It was so much fun! I enjoyed being a coach with another lady and every week we had 8-12 kids in our group. One week we even had a whole girl team! And every week we were able to share the gospel with them. We continually reminded them that we couldn’t get to heaven because of the good things that we have done, but that Jesus makes us acceptable to God. And the big reason why we wanted to get to heaven was because we didn’t have a bed time or have to go to sleep! Which is very important to kids! This was also a good kick off to getting ready for the Awana program. I am going to be helping out our Awana club by being the financial secretary. So that should keep me busy when I’m not sharing with churches!
So this is where I currently am in my life. Sorry there is no pictures, my camera bit the dust before the summer. Maybe soon I’ll get one and add some pictures of life in Baker!
