…New Job Title: Sparkie Leader Substitute

February 4, 2009 by Crystal Pierce

The Sparkies & I with our Valentine`s Day cards we made for our men & women overseas!

Last Wednesday night I showed up for our Awana meeting as usual, but little did I know that I would have so much fun! I normally help out as the Financial Secretary, but a Sparkie leader was out of town for the week and I was asked to fill in. Of course I said yes! I love Sparkies!

I was able to help out with five second graders as we made Valentine’s Day cards for the men and women serving overseas, listened to Bible Verse sections that they memorized, practice & read sections with one girl, and we played silent animals on our way upstairs for Game Time. We practiced the Sparkie Train and the Balloon Relay in anticipation of Sparkie Games! I remember the Sparkie Train when I was younger! I was once a Sparkie too!
