Present Day Persecution to the Wusuraambyan Believers

May 16, 2008 by

The new location of the Bible Lessons teaching is in front yard of the Church.

At the end of March, someone burnt down the structure we used to teach the Creation to Christ lessons.

A person left a note in a victory leaf tree. It stated that those who worship on Sundays  have misinterpreted the “good news”.

The believer’s reacted with a positive attitude and prayed for the person who had persecuted them. This incident did not discourage them but encouraged them to keep teaching. No meetings were cancelled! Instead they, simply, changed the location to the Wusuraambyan Bible Church front yard.

Two months later…the lessons have been completed! As a result, there is an enthusiastic group of about 60 who have completed these lessons.

(Today we were going to postpone the last lesson because the politicians were speaking in our village for the upcoming elections. But one of the men attending the lessons asked, “Why should we wait to hear this important message?” So we taught the last lesson today.)

In the next two weeks (end of May), the former believers will be teaching lessons for the new believers. At this point, we are not sure how many have come to know the Lord but there have been several testimonies already. We are not concerned with numbers but we do want you to know that the Lord has answered your prayers and He is working in the hearts of the villagers. It is exciting to see what God is doing here!
