Simbari Translation Update
We completed the textual proofing on the translation and have begun the formatting process with Doug Lotz at our home office in Florida. He has been sending us all kinds of questions about printing that we need to make decisions about. Things like: text sizes and spacings, divider lines, headers and footers, cover texture, cover color, etc, etc. After locking down the layout choices he has been applying those formatting choices to our text as he imports it into the publishing software. He sends us proofs to review and make any needed corrections. We are also working on maps with translations for the back of the Bible. Earlier in the summer we were able to meet with him at his office in Florida and talk about the project and see samples which were very helpful in the decision-making process.

Bible School Grad
As part of our trip to Florida we were able to attend our son and his wife, Jason and Geordan’s graduation from Bible College. We saw their apartment, enjoyed Geordan’s cooking, visited their church and met some of their friends. We are proud of them for dedicating 2 years of their life to totally immerse themselves in the study of God’s Word. They are staying on at the Bible College as interns for the next year. They have been plugged into a local church there in Wisconsin where they are on a worship-leading rotation. Jason has even had the opportunity to teach at his church and will likely be doing more teaching there in the future.

Third Grandchild
Another part of our trip was visiting Rachel and her husband Albion and our 3rd grandchild, Hanzo. They currently live in Pennsylvania at Albion’s parents’ place. They started a wedding photography business called “Albion and Rachel Storytelling” and they have been doing well and keeping busy with that. While we were out in Pennsylvania David’s parents and Simon’s family came out for a visit too. Jason and Geordan travelled over from Wisconsin also so that 3 out of our 4 kids were able to be together. We love being together as a family so we treasure times like this when we can get together even though Esther’s family couldn’t make it.
Family & Friends
While in Florida we were able to stay with Shari’s brother, Dan and his family. Shari’s parents also live nearby so we got to see them as well as many other friends and relatives who live in the area. We also had a warm reunion with our former co-workers, Dennis and Jeanne Best, who started the Simbari work many years ago.
Village Ministry
Bible teacher, Raymond, and his wife flew back out to the bush recently to spend some months ministering to the Simbari believers there in the villages. During their visit the Simbari believers will also be hiking over the mountains to attend a multi-language group Bible conference. Pray for growth and for the teaching of God’s Word to bear much fruit.
