Praise: Missionary Mechanics

September 24, 2007 by David and Sherri Pryor

image "…your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him." – Matthew 6:8

We were reminded once again of God’s great faithfulness to us in our recent need for vehicle repair. His answer to our need was ready even before we brought it to Him in prayer!

Our van was having steering problems & needed the front ball joints replaced. We were concerned about how much this would cost as we are on a tight budget here at school.

Even before we began praying about it, God sent a group of volunteer mechanics from a ministry called Friends in Action. We later learned that they have come here to the Missionary Training Center for 27 straight years!

We turned our van over to them & they had it repaired by the next day…for FREE. What’s more, they even paid for us taking the van into town to get a front end alignment!

image These volunteer mechanics (might we not call them missionary mechanics?) spent a week here at the MTC. Ten mechanics came for all or part of that time, along with 1 office worker & 7 cooks, & they repaired 71 vehicles (36 student vehicles, 35 staff vehicles).
