Prayers for God’s comfort

January 7, 2024 by David and Robin Watters

Gen 8:1 But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and livestock with him in the boat. He sent a wind to blow across the earth, and the floodwaters began to recede.

I thank you that you do remember us in our trials. You will never abandon us. May __________ feel your presence and your care today. May they know without a doubt that you will never abandon them (Joshua 1:5, 2 Cor 4:9). May they find rest in you no matter what they are facing today.

Gen 9: 15 When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds, 15 and I will remember my covenant with you and with all living creatures. Never again will the floodwaters destroy all life.

I don’t know what _______ is facing today, but I pray that they will feel the comfort of your love (Phil 2:1) and that they will experience the peace of knowing you promise to never leave them nor forsake them (Heb 13:5). That just like you put the rainbow in the sky to remind us of your forever promise, may _______ remember your promise and find the peace and comfort they need today.

Prov 3:25-26  You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, 26 for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.

Thank you that are our security! I pray that ________ will know and feel secure in you today. That they will not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction the wicked will face, but instead will find their rest in you today. I pray today that you will keep _________ from the evil one and that you will help them to not stick their foot in the trap of the enemy.
