Thanks so much for your prayers and giving over the last couple months. We’ve been amazed at the extra gifts and the other ways the Lord has been providing for our needs. We’re continuing to get dental work done, and hopefully we are close to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Tyndale just has one more dental appointment left, and Areli also has one to replace a filling on her front tooth that seems to have cracked (several years ago she had a run-in with a door knob and broke a front tooth.) Since we last wrote, I (Jennifer) got a check-up and discovered that I also need a lot of dental work. Many years ago I had a lot of fillings done in Mexico and they have all gone bad, leading to some pretty big problems. Please be praying that everything can be taken care of before we return to the field in January. I’d also appreciate prayer since I’ve been in quite a lot of pain since starting all this dental work. DJ just has a couple more appointments left to finish up his dental work. Praise the Lord with us that one of our dentists is giving us a 50% discount on all the work he does.
Several weekends ago we had the privilege of sharing about our ministry with Fredericksburg Bible Church (about 2 1/2 hours from where we’re living.) We were very encouraged by our visit with the believers there. In a few weeks we will be presenting at one of our supporting churches in Uvalde (40 minutes from where we live.) Some of you may remember that we asked for prayer for opportunities to share within day-trip distance of here–and the Lord is answering those prayers!
Areli, Galilee, and Tyndale are adjusting and doing well in school. The girls’ teachers are graciously making accommodations for them so that they can keep up with their classes even with the challenges that dyslexia causes for them. They are being allowed to dictate some of their written assignments, etc. I am continuing to read about and research longer-term solutions for them, such as the Davis Dyslexia Program. Please pray that the Lord will lead us to just the right help for them. Tyndale’s teacher is patiently helping him with his focus problems. He always scores far above grade level in reading but has a hard time staying on task. Thank you so much for praying for our children. We are so thankful for them. They have faced more moves and changes already than some people experience in a whole lifetime. They humble us with their kind spirits and love for the Lord.
Thank you so much for praying for us. God bless y’all!
