Thanks so much for praying for our trip to Thailand. It went very well. The kids’ educational testing confirmed a lot of the things we’ve been seeing, and gave some more specific insight which should be very helpful for their school here as well as in the US next year (during our home assignment.) They also got to connect with fellow MKs through a couple days of fun activities. It was very fun for them to interact with people who have similar life experiences.
On our way back from Thailand, we stopped over in Singapore for Tyndale’s follow-up doctor appointment with the pediatric immunologist. Tyndale is still symptom-free. He’s been finished with his course of steroids for a week now. Praise the Lord for the health he has given our son! We are so thankful, and we ask for your continued prayers that the HSP will not recur.
Now that we’re back, we’re keeping ourselves occupied with school board meetings (for DJ), evaluations, kick-offs, session sit-ins, housing maintenance oversight, and getting ready for yet another trip in about 2 weeks. Lord willing, I (Jennifer) plan to return to the provincial capital on our former island for a few days starting March 6 to conduct an evaluation for a friend who is studying there and meet with another friend to get him started into part time culture & language study. DJ and the kids then plan to meet me there once the kids begin their weeklong spring break, and we’d like to go back to our village for a few days to visit our Hobongan friends. Pray that our Hobongan fluency and word recall will come back quickly so we can make the most of the short time we’ll have with our dear friends there.
Thanks so much for praying for us.
