DJ’s Dad

Hello Everyone,

Please keep DJ’s family in your prayers. His dad, who has been the healthiest and most active 75-year-old we know, recently started having seizures which led to a diagnosis of inoperable brain cancer. He has been given an estimate of 3 months to live.

The 5 of us are planning to drive up to DJ’s parents’ place in Ohio, leaving our place in south Texas on June 20 and arriving at their place the following day. We’ll get to have a week with them before we have to drive back and arrive home on June 30. It’s about a 23-hour drive one way.

We’re all very much feeling the shock of this sudden diagnosis, though we know that nothing catches God by surprise. Please be praying for God’s perfect peace for each of us in the days ahead. Pray especially for DJ’s parents, David and Teresa. They are at rest in the certain hope of eternity with Jesus, but the earthly separation is still a hard thing to face.
