A Real Privilege
What a privilege it has been to serve with you. The Lord has been good to us and it excites us to no end knowing that He has allowed us to be part of His grand scheme of reconciling lost people to Jesus Christ.
It is impossible for us to imagine a God who dwelt in glory unapproachable desiring to bring human beings into a world which He created for them, not because He needed to but because He wanted to and then allow us to share in His grace and goodness all the while knowing that we would turn our backs on Him. Amazing Grace! Even so, because He is a gracious God who cares for us, He provided a way out for us without violating His nature and character. And once we understand and believe in His provision through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are to pass that message on.
For Your Consideration
When I am out on the road as a representative for Ethnos360 and tribal people, I am often asked the 64,000 dollar question; Would God send someone to Hell because they do not know who Jesus Christ is? Let me share how I answer that question.
I propose this scenario to the individual by asking this question: “If you were hiking in the middle of the jungle and fell into a pit of the most poisonous vipers in the world and they started biting you, what would happen?” The person says that they would die. I then ask them how they could keep from dying to which they answer, “I would need the antidote.” I then ask them, “What if you didn’t know that an antidote existed? Would you die anyway?” and their response is, “Of course!” It is at this point that the lights come on. Sin has infected everyone and all are separated from God. It is the antidote that we need and NOT knowing about the antidote does not affect our condition one way or another. Only the antidote can save and the antidote is Jesus Christ. Rom. 5:18. We need to get this remedy to those who have never heard.
Travels This Summer
We have had a good summer. We have been to Whispering Winds Bible Camp and had a great time with the young folks there. Then we went to Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri and back home to visit supporting churches and for all of them, we are grateful. They have kept us challenging new candidates into Ethnos360 and one day more tribal groups will be hearing the gospel of the grace of God. We have also been able to share in several churches and visit with prospective missionaries. Thank you all.
Start Praying For This Team
Some of the missionary teams have done a good job of informing their supporters and friends of the progress that they have made as church planters. Some are just starting out, some are in the process of culture and language learning, some are almost finished and close to teaching and some are seeing the church growing in different stages. Today, I want to emphasize one that is just starting out. It is the Maliyali language group where the Muellers and the Rimestads are working right now. They are two precious couples who have chosen to reach a group of people who need the antidote and they are the spiritual aid workers who will bring it to them. Please pray for them. Now, I want to show you the first in a series of videos that will acquaint you with them. Enjoy and thanks for being a blessing to us. We sure appreciate it.
