To all our favorite people,
Merry Christmas
Dearest Friends in the world,
Christmas has always been a special time in our hearts. Most people tend to think of the Nativity as a special event and many movies have been made to portray the actual event and some allegorical stories explain it in a more contemporary way. In any event, it draws attention to the One who came to be like one of us so that He could redeem us from the penalty and power of sin.
Throughout history God allowed people the opportunity to try to redeem themselves knowing that they never could. The promise of a Redeemer, a Deliverer was first alluded to in the Garden of Eden when God told Satan that one day the descendant of the woman would destroy him and God would bring ultimate redemption to the people who were created in His image.
Mankind has failed miserably throughout the centuries but God never did because He told us in Galatians 4:4 – “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,”. God kept His promise, even when mankind could not. God gave us every chance to return to Him but He wanted people to realize that there was no way back to Him except through the avenue that only He could provide. In the words of the old hymn, “Hallelujah, what a Savior!”
This year has closed out wonderfully. We all have relatively good health, we are blessed with good friends and family and we are seeing several who have made the jump to serve the Lord reaching people who have never heard that a Savior has come to save them. What a glorious time that will be when that happens, and some of them will hear this message for the first time this next year.
That being said, Cheryl and I and our whole family want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and get ready for a wonderful New Year. Who knows what the Lord has in store for us. Keep the faith, all. He is worth it.
And Have A Wonderful New Year!
