Greetings From Asia-Pacific
We made it home and feel very settled back into our role here. We praise the Lord our trip was uneventful and all our luggage made it that we shipped via cargo. The Lord has sustained us thus far and we want to give Him the praise
My Trip Interior
This past week I was invited to join a summer youth event and be the speaker for the event. All the youth from our region gathered and there were over 300 that attended. This was the biggest crowd I think I have ever spoke in front of and this was in another language. While I was a bit nervous, I want to praise the Lord that the event went so well and that I was able to communicate clearly.
Our Church’s New Believer
Pak Lazuardi is a new friend of mine. While we were on home assignment in the states this guy came to know the Lord. It is really a blessing to see a new believer hungry for the teaching of the Word of God and that I can be a part of it. This guy asked me to pray for his wife and 3 daughters that they would come to believe in the Lord too.
My Old Friend
Ryann has been my friend and language helper for years now and he is of the majority religion here. I had told him that I did not need much more help with learning language except for my ability in preaching. He said he could still help me so I have been practicing my sermons with him and he is hearing the gospel. We have had some discussions about the differences between our beliefs. Please pray for Ryann to come to know the Lord. He still believes his own “goodness” is enough to save him.
Family Trip Interior
In a few weeks time we plan to make a trip as a family interior and spend time with 2 national families. These two families are already doing ministry cross-culturally and hope to partner with us down the road. This will be a big step for us and probably rather challenging but we are excited to move forward and see where the Lord is taking us as a family. Please pray for us that our discussions about where we will minister will go well.
Thank you all so much for praying for us and partnering with us in the ministry here. We are so thankful to the Lord for you. If you would like to hear more details about what we are doing here we would love to call and talk personally. You can email us at eric_daum@ntm.org or cherie_daum@ntm.org and we will give you a phone call. Also Eric has a google number which can receive sms texts but not calls: (586) 460-0262

It is wonderful to hear from you all and surprising that a month has passed. We noticed that you have adjusted to your new time zone as we have missed having you join our online pray meetings at 5AM your time. Looking forward to a report on the family trip to the interior.

Good to hear from you guys and what the Lord is doing! Praying the Holy Spirit opens Ryann’s eyes soon. The Lord has us back at Claypool Hill Bible Church where good friend and former staff is now pestering. He has also taken up where we left as camp director at Camp Evangel. We are helping there again as well. Great to be of use to the Master! “Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith”. Hebrews 12:2
