We realize that it has been months since we have posted about what has been going on with us lately, and we are truly sorry about that. We have had a lot of things going on and we are excited to share with you a little about what is happening in our lives.
Baby Chloe
We are so thankful to the Lord that Chloe Grace Claire was born perfectly healthy and without any complications on May 22nd. She has been such a sweet and easy going baby and we are so grateful for such a blessing from the Lord. Joshua, Lily, and Dell love her so much and are always wanting a chance to hold her.
Visas
Our five-year visas were approved, praise the Lord! We are so thankful to have Chloe be able to be added onto the visa also. This was somewhat of a miracle because they told us that the people who process visas have never allowed someone to get a five year visa before having had the one year visa.
Moving
We are planning to move out from the city here and begin living temporarily in a small town about four hours from the place we will be moving into to minister in later on. The purpose of moving to this town is in order to be closer to the village we want to move into. Eric and our coworker will then make survey trips into the village while Cherie and our coworker’s family will stay in the town. This move has been much anticipated by us for years and it is almost surreal to finally be getting to serve the Lord in this way. This is going to be a big change for us and especially for our kids, but we are all excited to move out of the city and into the village life.
For the time being
Two weeks ago our coworkers came and stayed with us for five days and it was a really wonderful time getting to know each other better although it was also a challenge with the cultural differences. I think staying with us was a bit of a cultural shock for them but we felt that it was a great time to bond as a team as we are hoping to be serving together in the same village within the next year.
Eric has been teaching his friend Ryan through the chronological bible lessons and has about two or three weeks of lessons left. Ryan has shown a lot of interest and we are hopeful that he will one day choose to trust in Christ. Please pray for him!
Closing thoughts
We just want to say thank you to all of you who continue to support our ministry and what God is doing on this side of world. We realize how little we really matter and yet we are grateful to be used by God as His servants here. We have seen so much of God’s faithfulness and love to us this past year and we are in awe that He chooses to continue to use us even in our weakness and inability. So much of our future seems so unknown and so many questions beg to be answered and yet we know that God sees and knows our future and we can rest in that. Pray for us that we would choose to rest in the confidence of God’s faithfulness and that he would give us wisdom to know how to move forward.

It was so good to hear from you and to see God faithfully working in your lives. What a blessing it will be to move closer to the tribe. Prayers are sent your way for you and co-workers as you adjust to each other and ways of living life. May God continually bless you in the days ahead.
