Usually when you hear some one say that it can be taken several different ways. Most say it in a negative way, a begrudging way. Tina and I are saying it in an EXCITING way.
We get another opportunity to show missionary candidates how to handle the physical aspects of living overseas so they can present the gospel and see unreached people come to know the Lord.
In this class we have the opportunity to reinforce what they have been learning here at the training center from a technology perspective.
Yes squirt guns are a great way to explain Voltage and Amperage. Yes, there is always a volunteer.
DC wiring is taught because this is the main power they are going to be living off.
AC wiring is also taught because some appliances are AC.
One of the most fun part of this class is teaching the students how to solder.
Some really take the safety seriously. A good thing.
For many this is the first time they ever soldered.
Can’t Wait for this summer to do it all again.
