For when I am weak, then I am strong

June 27, 2012 by Nadia Hattingh

Little by little (vakhani-vakhini in eMwinika) Nadia is getting stronger! Both the cardiologist and the doctor (that treated Nadia for the malaria) agree that she was very sick and should not expect to be up before at least 6 weeks after this last flu.

For the next few months, she should continue to take things easy and should not try to do too much for a while. They caution that she should be patient since her immune system got thoroughly beaten and she could easily get sick again.

She has been able to get up for short periods each day and her favourite time is when her neighbours visit… She literally “sparkles” while joking and laughing with them. Her Mwinika friends has been very understanding in visiting only for short periods each afternoon.

Thank you for your prayers!

Please continue to pray for Nadia, since the next step in this church plant is another round of Literacy classes which she is responsible for. The Lord continues to remind us that this is His work, His ministry and to keep our eyes on Him.

After all, He says: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, … for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. “ 2 Cor 12:9-10
