This coming Sunday a Manubu’ Bible teacher will begin to teach the 40 lesson evangelistic phase of the chronological teaching program at a large village we’ll call Uno. There are a number of good-works-for-eternal-salvation churches there including ones that emphasis experience over biblical truth. Mahan tried to start teaching the evangelistic phase there a few years ago, but it didn’t work out.
This past Sunday a group of believers from our village, including a number of young people, went to Uno to encourage people to listen. It will be taught by a Manubu’ believer who is from a different village but is now living at Uno. Fourteen young people have said they want to listen to the evangelistic phase of the teaching, and there may also be some older people who will listen.
In all of the churches in that village the teaching is done in the Cebuano language and not in Manubu’ even though most of the people being taught are Manubu’. Some have said that they are interested in listening to the Manubu’ Bible teacher teach because it will be in their own language.
Please PRAY that those who have said they want to listen will indeed listen, be saved and go on with the Lord. PRAY also that when the teaching starts there will also be others who will join in listening.
