We are enjoying nice COOL Fall weather here now. What a refreshing change. We open up the windows at night and enjoy the fresh cool air. We are sure thankful that the God of all creation saw fit to include variety in climate as well as color and other blessings we enjoy.
News from here at the home offices: We (the home offices) finished hosting a weeklong conference for CLA (Culture and Language Acquisition) instructors from many of our fields this last month. It was so good to see old friends again. Many of the folks are friends from our days in training. It was a busy week, but great fun to see so many who are involved in helping our missionaries learning the language and culture of the people they are going to reach with the Gospel.
Some of our family projects at this time include: 1. Building two storage buildings to enable us to sell our trailer (the one we moved here with). 2. Yard work, and landscaping (This will be easier now with the cooler weather). 3. Working with the MK youth group, which is now takes a turn meeting in our home on Fridays. What a great bunch of kids! 4. Sorting through toys to pass on the blessing to other younger kids. 5. Running our online bookstore. 6. Linda is singing in the choir for the Christmas Cantata at Church. 7. Sharing in a church in Inverness, FL in early December.
Thanks so much for all of your care for through your prayers. We do so appreciate your care for us. We are so thankful to the Lord for His faithfulness to you, and your faithfulness to Him, on our behalf, through prayer.
Amy is in Michigan for Thanksgiving to visit friends and she has a couple of meetings to share her future work in Mozambique, while she is there. She will also be in a wedding of a friend from the Summit Trip she went on in 2001. It has been nice to have her at home for a time before she goes overseas. Please pray for her that the Lord would raise up her support needed for her time in Brazil for Language study, and then as she goes on to Mozambique next August.
We need to change our prayer letter service, as Calvary Missionary Press is closing. They have been such a blessing to us over the last 20+ years in sending out our letters. So if you are able to receive our updates via e-mail, let us know your e-mail address. That would be a huge help. If not, please look for our letters with a different sender in the future.
We pray you will have a blessing Thanksgiving this year, may the Season of THANKS that rushes into the Season of REJOICING in Christ’s birth be one that brings many blessings to you and yours!
