April 2008
Dear Friends,
What a beautiful Spring! Easter was a nice day, and we enjoyed celebrating the resurrection together. We trust you had a good day of remembering the Wondrous Cross and Beautiful Savior.
This month finds us busy with Youth Group. We had a camp out the end of March with about 27 people participating. We are teaching on a series covering Communication this month, then beginning Chronological teaching of the Bible, with a focus on how believers can apply the Word of God to their lives. We hope to have a missionary speaker from West Africa join us mid-month too!
Next weekend, we will be helping Debby and Brett move into their new house in south of here! We praise the Lord for the many ways He is providing for them, and directing their lives. They were able to do some painting this last weekend. Their big news is that the last ultra-sound shows that the baby is a girl!
We just completed a some Member Care and a Peer-to-peer debriefing meetings with the Personnel Department at the Home offices. We were not able to attend as many meetings as we would have liked to, but were almost able to stay caught up on our work in the Member Services Offices. We have 34 new members that we have completed the paperwork for making them members of NTM. Pray for these dear folks as they begin their time of pre-field ministry, and prayerfully deciding which field to serve on.
Amy returned from a couple of weeks in Michigan. She had a great time and met with many of her friends there, as well as she had opportunity to share her future ministry in a few churches. She will soon be headed to Oregon and the Northwest. Pray for her to have Wisdom regarding applying for her visa. The paperwork just came today! Please continue to pray for her to have clear direction, and God’s provision for her travels and for field set up . Thanks so much.
Thank you, too, for your prayers for our ministry. It is a blessing to have you on our prayer team in getting the Gospel to the unreached, and ministering to the saints.
We trust that the Lord will encourage you as you walk with Him.
Blessings,
George and Linda Heckman and family
