April/May 2015
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your care for our family and your prayers for the things that we have on our hearts, our family, and our ministries. You are an encouragement to us.
Our last month has been very EVENT-FULL!!
Early May found us on the road with the company of George’s Mom and Dad, as we made our way to Waukesha Wisconsin for Tim and Charity’s beautiful wedding. We have more pictures on Linda’s Facebook page. I’ll try to add some to my pictures page here.
Unfortunately the sons-in-law were unable to come for the wedding. (Read Amy’s blog about their attempt to cross the border on Hector’s tourist visa!)
Amy and Judah, flew up to Tim’s wedding and had a nice visit with both of her sisters, Debby and Beka. They also were able to spend a good week with us in Michigan, at Guthrie Pines. (We went to open the house there for the rental season).
David and Joice (his fiancée) were able to join us in Michigan for a weekend. It was lovely to have time with them. They are planning a September 5 wedding in Missouri. We are so blessed with children-in-law, they are all terrific! God is good! David was the Best Man, and Joice the “Flower Gal” in Tim and Charity’s wedding.
We had many small events in the larger ones listed, but I will spare you the details on paper. God was faithful through it all, as we trusted Him, and watched him work. (Even at the times where He was stretching us to make us grow.) We had miles of safe travel with George’s parents, What a blessing. (BUT–Don’t even ask: Amy about border crossings; George about toilet repairs, and felling large trees. Or Linda about abdominal pain. Don’t’ ask George’s Dad about broken bridge-work, or leaking toilets, or George’s Mom about treadmills, or carpet replacement!)
I think we have caught up now in our office work at NTM. We have processed new members who have graduated from the training. What a joy to have another group of new missionaries beginning their service with NTM. It is a small group this year.
Please continue to pray with us for the Lord to continue to raise up laborers for the Harvest, and for willing workers to fill the gaps around the world in our mission organization. We have several needs at the US Home offices as well. While there are needs world-wide, we see the Gospel going forth and many new groups of tribal people hearing the Bible teaching and responding to the Gospel. That’s why we are here!
Thank you so much for your prayers and support for our ministry. We are blessed to have friends like you!
In Christ,
George and Linda
