Greetings from Florida! We are spending a lot of time on the 4th floor facing West these days! We are really enjoying our new office at the NTM Towers building.
We are praying for a buyer for the former NTM office building. It has been used for many purposes over the years since it was built in the 1920’s: luxury hotel, training center, Boy’s school, and Mission Headquarters are just a few! Please pray for the staff that are seeking different housing arrangements as well. These days bring large adjustments for many lives.
Our lives begin to get busier each year! We finished our taxes early this year! Now we have many things coming up on our calendars! May will take George to Jackson, Michigan and Waukesha, Wisconsin to meet with staff members at the Bible Institutes who will soon be considering retirement.
In the meantime, April has us involved in many projects to have us ready for the coming months! Some of these include: Easter Cantata at Church; Sorting and listing our inventory. Linda is recovering a couple of chairs for a friend. George is constantly looking for ways to improve the way we work with our online bookstore.
In Mid-May we’ll go to Michigan to open up the house there for the summer season. Amy and Hector and boys will join us there, as their training semester finishes up May 18. That will be fun. David and Joice may also be joining us. Many hands will make light work! AND fun times of fellowship!
The end of June the kids have decided we need a family gathering time with all siblings and families gathered.
Brett and Debby will come home for this time, it is the last time they can fly the boys with no charge for them (they are under 2!) We found a huge house in North Georgia that has streams, and a lake, and hiking, and even a tree house! Sound like fun?
We have quite a few folks with NTM lined up for retirement this year. We work through the process with our folks and try to keep them encouraged that this is not an end of their life or ministry, but an opportunity to continue serving the Lord, without time restrictions placed on them as regular members of the mission. Please pray for these folks as they face adjustments.
We have a good friend who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He is home from the mission field and determined to live the rest of his time on earth for the Lord. Whether we live or die, we are HIS. Please pray for him, (Dan), and his family! Thank you.
We are so thankful for your part in our ministries and lives. Thank you so much for your support and prayers. It means so much to us. We are very thankful to the Lord for meeting our needs, and keeping us in the place where we must trust Him, and hold tightly to His loving hands!
Please feel free to send us your prayer requests, we would love to pray for you, too!
We pray you have a wonderful Easter! What a joy to realize we have the same power that God used to raise Christ form the dead, at work in our lives as we walk with HIM.
In His Strength,
George and Linda Heckman
