It’s been a quick month and we are half way through August already!
We have had some extra travelling going on this month, and perhaps that is why it seems like time is going so quickly!
The first weekend took us to the west side of Florida to visit friends we hadn’t seen in quite awhile, and then on up to Alabama. Our trip to Linda’s sister’s place enabled us to be there for our nephew, Chase’s, Eagle Scout awards ceremony. It was an honor to see the great job these Eagle scouts did!
We are sure enjoying the ability to video chat with our kids no matter where they are! We have had some nice talks with Beka Cody and Abi lately. We are excited to announce, if you hadn’t heard, that Abi will be a big brother in April 2022!
Please hold Beka up in prayer as she is starting out this pregnancy with the same nausea and symptoms she had last time. She is closely working with the doctor there in PNG and doing all she can to minimize symptoms. Cody is studying hard for the course he will be taking on the Kodiak plane he will start flying there on the field. We are praising the Lord that Cody will not need to come back to the US for this specialized training. God is so good!
Debby and Brett and family had a good trip to North Carolina to visit friends, and to visit their siblings there. Here they are with Tim and Mandy. We are thankful they can get together sometimes.
Other news from PNG: A few things to pray for to see the Word of God in another heart language.
Missionaries Ned and Linn have been ministering to the Tigak people of Papua New Guinea with Ned doing the Bible translation. They wrote recently: “Ned is reaching the end of ‘type-setting’ and final checks of the Tigak New Testament. He is currently working on maps to go with the Bible. We will be making a trip to the Home Office [in Florida] soon to finalize the plans for sending everything to a printer. Please pray that we would have wisdom in what printer to use and all the details regarding covers, paper [and other things]. We greatly appreciate your prayers and support as we continue working on the Tigak Bible.”
Thanks so much for upholding us in prayer as we continue serving our mission family here at the Ethnos360 home offices.
We are still working from home for the most part and are thankful this is an option. We answer question from our missionaries and their supporters most every day. Keeping clear lines of communication open to allow our missionaries to serve in their locations without quite as many hassles.
Last weekend we ended up with a side trip to Tampa on the way to Dad’s. We sold our older car. We enjoyed a West Coast sunset! We do still go to Fort Lauderdale most weekends to be with George’s Dad. He is doing pretty well, and he is always encouraged that we come and visit. He is an encouragement to us as well!
Please continue to pray for Amy and Hector in Mexico. Their “plates” are full with the training program at Rancho Siloe. Pray for wisdom for their staff and students, and freedom from illnesses. They have their two boys going to school at the MK school in Chihuahua. Elena & Sofia miss their big brothers, but is probably being a big helper to her mom! Especially taking care of Squeaky! The new puppy! Hector’s maternal grandmother passed away this last weekend, Please pray for this family.
Thanks so much friends for your prayers and encouragement!
