Dear Friends and Family;
Wow, almost November, that means six short weeks until we come home for our six-month home assignment. We are all getting SO excited. We have bookings! We will depart Indonesia December 11th and arrive in San Francisco December 12th, after one night in Singapore and 25 hours of airplane travel! We got a pretty good deal on tickets, only one stop and on a nice airline, Praise the Lord!
We will spend Christmas in Sacramento with Greg’s sister, Tracy, and family and Pam’s family too. Then we will head up to Bozeman, Mt. We have a couple of leads on housing, but nothing certain yet, pray for all the details to work out.
Pray for us also as we wrap things up here, tie up loose ends and pack up as well. I, Pam, have field education committee meetings in Jakarta in November, and since Greg’s folks will be there, we will all be going and will get to spend a week there, the kids are excited to get some grandma-grandpa time.
On the ministry front things are going very well. Our first translation check was very successful. Our entire team was so happy to be able to take the published story of Joseph into the Buru people this month. A small portion of scripture, we know, but a HUGE first step in putting the Bible into the hands of the Buru people! While we are home Paul McDole and Herman Kodidi will continue to work on translating scripture.
Thanks you so much for your prayers, your financial support, and your encouragement. We just couldn’t be here, sharing Christ with the Buru people, without you!
Love,
Greg and Pam Berglund
Nate, Hannah, Grace and Katie
