Update on Caleb Currently Caleb and Pam are in Singapore staying with another NTM family. We arrived last Sunday night and were taken straight to the hospital where our AMAZING doctor, a Pediatric Hematologist. was waiting (at 8 o’clock on a Sunday night) to see him. Caleb has been in the hospital since then and […]
We planned for this 1st update after our months in the tribe to be full of news and photos from our time interior, and we promise we will get to those eventually! But right now we have some urgent prayer needs and we need you to stand with us in prayer; 1. Caleb had to […]
Just a few more days until we start our journey. We will be traveling for about a week before we arrive at our new village home, 2 days and a night on the first ship, 3 or 4 nights in hotel in the nearest large city, one more 6 hour trip on a “fast boat” […]
Tomorrow morning Greg will be heading off to the Malukus to prepare for our move later this month. He will travel by boat to a larger city with a majority of our household goods, Solar panels etc. While there he will shop for a clothes washer and small freezer and a few other things we […]
The past 6 weeks have been a whirlwind here in Indonesia.
Dear Friends and Family; It is that time again to update you on the happenings of our lives and ministry here in Asia Pacific. We are racing full-steam ahead toward the day we finally move into the village! Greg just finished preparing Acts chapters 1-13 for a translation check scheduled in September. Getting Bible passages […]
This coming week is finally the week of our team meetings. We asked in a previous prayer letter for you to pray for our decision about whether the whole family would be able to travel to the meetings or if only Greg would go. I m happy to report that the Lord worked out the details just fine. One of our team families needed to come here for some medical care, so that put 4 of our families here, and just one in the tribe, so we all pitched in to bring that family here. It works out well for us because I can continue teaching in the mornings.
Greeting from Indonesia, where we are enjoying a warm, rainy, tropical Christmas. We occasionally dream of a white Christmas, but then we remember the lost mittens, the 45 minutes of getting five children bundled up before going outside, and the muddy footprints on the carpet when we have to turn right back around and undo it all :-) In Actuality it is NOT the WHITE we are missing as much as we are missing YOU, our loved ones. Maybe next year you can plan to head over here and visit us to find out what a tropical Christmas is all about . . .but don't forget your sunglasses and flip flops!
Dear Friends and Family; Greg made it home late the day before yesterday. He surprised us by flying home 3 days early, since the boat he was going to travel home on was put in dry dock. We were all thrilled to see him, but Caleb was BEYOND thrilled, and followed him around all day […]
I intended to write an update a few weeks ago, letting you know that we made it home safely from our trip to get our Visa's renewed. Well, we did make it home safely, and actually a trip that I was dreading turned out to be just what our family needed after a busy summer of painting our house and keeping up with our other responsibilities!
