DearĀ Friends and Family;
Greetings from soggy Bozeman where we have several feet of snow melting at alarming rates with our toasty 40 degree weather! We are finally all moved into the house we will be staying in until we return to Indonesia in the fall. We have been enjoying reconnecting with friends and family here as well as meeting new friends.
Greg and I had a neat opportunity to spend last week at a marriage retreat just outside Bozeman. It was such a blessing to us and we made some long lasting friendships with the other couples in attendance. The kids had a blast with Grandma over the weekend.
Nate and Hannah are settled in school and are both loving it. We can see God’s hand so clearly in His choice for teachers for them. They have both made friends and are doing well academically.
Please pray especially for Hannah, she has been having periods of difficulty breathing and also times when she has sharp pains in her chest. So far she has been tested for asthma, allergies, had an X-ray of her heart and an EKG. The good news is that everything was normal, she had no major allergies, her heart is normal size and the EKG was normal. Still we don’t know what is causing these symptoms so please be praying for her and for wisdom for us and the Doctors as we get to the bottom of it. She is energetic and down-right silly most of the time and these episodes aren’t terribly frequent but we would like to get to the bottom of it while we are here around good medical care.
Another exciting tidbit of news is that we are expecting another little Berglund! He or She is due July 27th. So far every thing looks good, even though the Doctors keep reminding me that I am an OLD 35 and therefore at higher risk. Honestly I feel GREAT this time around, very little morning sickness and my blood pressure has been great too!
Things are moving steadily along in reaching the Buru people. Two of our co-worker families, Waris and Syeni and Herman and Marien just arrived back in the villages after each having baby girls and also attending our national conferences, the husbands had been making short trips in for the last year or so but this is the first time both families have been in the village for quite a while. Please pray for them as they adjust, especially Marien who is moving in for the first time since she and Herman married last year. She will be learning the language and culture. The Paul McDole Family (as well as our family) is still continuing to wait for an airplane in order to be able to return to the village locations full -time, please continue to pray for the funds for the new airplane, as well as permission to be granted for us to borrow another airplane to use in the meantime. NTM now has $375,000 raised toward a new Kodiak airplane, which means it can be scheduled for production. This is about half of what the final purchase price of the plane will be.
We appreciate your prayers, support and encouragement. Please continue praying for us as we will be beginning to do quite a bit of weekend traveling to visit friends and supporters, and share our ministry with churches.
In His loving care;
Greg and Pam Berglund
Nate, Hannah, Grace, and Katie
