We are more than conquerors! …

July 12, 2008 by

This is a mountain that I recently climbed with some friends.  You can see it from the terrace where I live.  I often looked at it and thought, "Wow, it would be awesome to climb that and see the view from the top!"  Well, despite my anxieties, I finally did it!  Even though it was tough getting to there, the view from the top was magnificent!

You could say that this is also how I feel in my language studies right now.  I am a bit anxious.  I want to speak to people and it is finally possible to have full conversations in French but it takes some courage to speak in a foreign language that I am not yet fluent in.  Who wants to sound and look stupid?  But, I am finding that when I try, I am actually getting to enjoy the French people here and building relationships with them.

Please pray that God would help me to develop the discipline and endurance to be successful in these and future language studies.  I still have a long way to go.  Please also pray for me this week as I take my second trimester exams.  It is a week of writing, reading, listening and speaking French while being evaluated and graded.

Thank you so much for your loving support.  You are each so special.  Your prayers, encouragement and  financial partnership are a great support to me.  I am praying that together we are bringing glory to God and carrying the knowledge of Him to those who so desperately need salvation.
