Our daughter Meghan continues to recover from surgery. We have some concerns for Jackie and Evan at this time, but we are hopeful. We still do not have word on what is causing Brynna’s pain. Julie is also going to the doctor today to check on pains she’s been having. Somehow, I feel I need […]
Thank you for praying about Jackie and the week! We’ve just heard that Jackie’s vision problem is harmless. And this week is shaping up well. It’s been a bit less hectic than I expected, but more importantly, it’s been easier to find proper focus — on what God has in mind for the week.
Our oldest daughter, Jackie, continues to struggle with vertigo, and now is having what could be serious vision problems. She’s been to a doctor, and the situation is being monitored, and it may simply pass. Please pray that it does.
Did you know missions is like bagpiping? Not just because they both attract some people and send others running. Missions is like bagpiping because both take a team of people doing unnoticed things to bring it all together. So during a rare dinner that our entire family was able to be […]
God was already working. Before we even wrote to you Thursday … before we decided Wednesday to pay our daughter’s $1,1162 college bill … before she even came to us with her need … He already had an answer in the works. Yesterday, a couple who knew nothing about our need gave $1,000 to our […]
You don’t want to deny your kids opportunities, right? That’s why it troubled me so much to have to tell my youngest daughter we couldn’t help her. After a disastrous first year of college, she had to appeal to re-enroll this semester. Now she’s getting straight As. But Sunday she told us she needed $1,162 […]
Our oldest daughter, Jackie, is having problems still related to Lyme disease. Due to constant vertigo, she is disabled, and volunteers as a writer at New Tribes Mission when she can. Because she’s a volunteer, she is able to use an NTM apartment, but her rent (like ours) has been rising and it’s difficult for […]
Our youngest daughter, Brynna, had trouble keeping up with her community college studies last semester while working full-time. She’s trying to get classes for American Sign Language Interpreter certification. Pray the she can work out everything necessary to do this.
