We are praying through each day here in Papua New Guinea for North America and the world as we all go through this unprecedented time of the Corona Virus. Here is some important info from PNG…
“NTM PNG is continuing to work through the challenges presented by the COVID-19 situation. The Papua New Guinea government did confirm the country’s first case of COVID-19 on 20 March. This was determined to be an imported case with no evidence of local transmission. Our Crisis Management Team remains focused on our response to this situation. This enables our Director Board and Area Leadership to continue focusing on organizational goals within the country. As a mission, we are dedicated to operating within the guidelines provided by the PNG government.
Several of our NTM PNG members have chosen to leave PNG and return to their passport countries. Core church development functions continue to be the priority for those members who remain in PNG.
In the midst of much uncertainty, we appreciate your continued prayers.”
Right now we feel it is safe for us to stay here. We want to be able to help in any way we can with the Church Planting effort that continues here. We are trusting our loving God who is the God of organized chaos. We know He will bring us through this in ways we can’t imagine, but it will be for good. We are very uncertain about our departure from PNG on June 7th. But we know that whenever God enables us to leave, it will be the right time to head home! We are very excited for a reunion with our family and friends after all this is finished!
We would love to hear from all of you! Many of you are in your homes a lot more these days, so drop us an email or FB message to tell us how you are doing during this surreal time.
