Be Still My Heart

April 25, 2014 by Jared and Diana Jantz

As I checked the list for our Student / Staff Fellowship event my heart literally stopped … for just a few seconds.  There had been some changes so the number of students increased due to others not being able to host.  We were already wall-to-wall and now we were going to be bursting at the seams.  How can we fit everyone in and enjoy our time together!

I had already sent Jared to the store to get a few more things so I knew he was not going to feel like going again.  So, I took a deep breath and decided ‘it is what it is’.  After reaching that point, my heart resumed its regular heart rate and I found myself excited again about “hanging out with the students”.

I find that I like to have everything in order … along with plenty of “goodies” for the students … but when changes do occur I need to be quicker in trusting HIM.  He, once again, showed His faithfulness to me.  Pray that I will continue to grow in serving HIM by embracing the opportunities He brings my way.
